listenin to :: We Are Who We Are - Ke$ha
you must be wondering what on earth is So Syok Holidays!?
if you are an Astro Disney Channel subscriber definitely know what it is as I believe it's always on looping commercial
if not, allow me to do my storytelling
So Syok Holidays! basically a school holiday programme on Disney Channel where it show varieties of cartoon series & Disney movies for kids during the school holidays.
in conjunction of So Syok Holidays!, Disney Channel are having few contests for kids to participate & win prizes.
am handling one of the contest which is So Syok Holidays! Dance Contest where participant have to dance to So Syok music for one minute
kids may participate in the following malls which are Sunway Pyramid, E-Curve, Ipoh Parade & Queensbay Mall in Penang.
yyeeapp, that's what So Syok Holidays is all about
Joanne & I went to Ipoh & Penang to supervise the event on Friday till Sunday.
both of us were like talking talking talking from KL to Penang & Penang all the way back to KL nonstop
what's so much to talk about right?
well, we both have a lot in common and similarities which somehow made us clicked
although Joanne & I may have some disagreements with each other on and off but off work we are pretty close.
what we both enjoyed most through out the whole trip was, Penang food!!!
apart from supervise the event at shopping malls,
Joanne & I were both invited to Adrian's brother's wedding dinner in Penang.
Penang & KL Chinese wedding dinner cultures are slightly different.
one of it was, the dinner start on time, like on the dot
it stated in the wedding invitation card dinner starts at 8 o'clock yet Joanne & I both got there at 8.30pm,
by the time we got there - they started serving 2nd dish already, paiseh paiseh!
also, their dishes are slightly different from KL too.
I had Asam steamed fish at a wedding dinner for the first time and it was gooood
*thinking bout it now makes me hungry
*
with Adrian's family and relatives
Joanne & I both followed Adrian's friends to this club named Boom Boom after the wedding dinner.
Boom Boom Chambre is one of the latest happening club in Penang with 2 sets of show per night at Upper Penang Road.we were both pre-warned before heading over to Boom Boom as the place was meant for special people like homosexual.
yyeeaapp, that's right - since I have not been to such club before, why not check it out?
2 sets of performance at Boom Boom, entertaining
Joanne & I
what we had that night was really an eye opening experience.
it was not so much about the performance but the people around us.
we got to know stories like how they manages their relationships, how is it like to be different from others;
but of course we did not ask how they 'did' it as we think it's just too much information for us to know in one night.
if we do not stop them from talking, they would have probably share with us too
*you do know they are very open up to anything to talk to*
seriously, overall was an eye opening experience - they are so much more passionate & loving than normal couples do.
not that I have the intention to be one - no no - I'm straight!
Boom Boom is a place where they can be their normal selves, not bother what's going on and go all out have the best time of their lives
till then,
shall end this entry with a picture taken at Nicky's place together with Sally & Sam - just another drinking night with the bunch
drinkin goggles up! woots!
